Thinking about going on vacation?
With spring break coming up and summer not too far behind, many people are making travel plans. And while road tripping with dogs can be a fun adventure, driving long distances or boarding a plane with pets isn’t always ideal.
Luckily, there is Rover!
Founded in 2011, this website is the #1 place to go for:
- Pet sitting
- Dog walking
- Doggy daycare
- Virtual training
- Drop-in visits
- And so much more
Here at Petting Bliss, we know how hard it is to leave your fluffy best friend behind…
After all, the person watching your pooch needs to be trustworthy, gentle, capable, and somebody who will provide loving and safe care while you are gone. The same goes for finding a reliable dogwalker. Thankfully, our experiences with Rover so far have been nothing short of excellent.
That’s why today, Petty Bliss is delighted to share Rover services and products with fellow dog and cat parents, like yourself!
Paw-some People Matched to Every Dog and Cat
To start, let’s look at what exactly Rover is (and why more than 2 million pet owners have used this platform, according to CNN Business).
At its core, Rover is a worldwide marketplace. By logging into their accounts, people can both buy and sell services. There are many features that make Rover stand out.
- Easy to Use Interface
Years ago while travelling, our darling dog named Candy stayed with a Rover family. From start to finish, the booking process was effortless. This is thanks to Rover’s clever website design.
Here is how it all works:
- First, choose from clickable boxes describing which service you’re interested in
- Second, enter your ZIP code or address
- Third, choose the dates on a calendar for drop off / pick up
- Fourth, select dog size (small, medium, large, or giant)
And that’s it!
Instantly, Rover will suggest profiles that are a good match.
Speaking of profiles…who will be taking care of your beloved cat or dog?
Well, it’s entirely YOUR call!
Each service provider sets up their own page. This includes information about them, such as their name, age, prices, availability, as well as reviews from past clients. To see an example of profiles, go to Find the Perfect Match.
Mandatory Background Check and Coverage for Sitters
As if all that isn’t enough to love, it gets better.
Did you know that Rover guarantees all their sitters pass a background check?
Additionally, everyone offering in-house boarding must be approved by a team of sitter specialists. Plus, the so-called “Rover Guarantee” may cover up to $25,000 in vet care reimbursement for eligible claims (for instance, medical costs from injury to either a pet owner's or sitter’s pets).
That means doggy moms and dads can relax knowing their pooch is in safe hands.
Interested in Dog Training? There’s That Too
Another paw-some service Rover has is GoodPup.
This is a virtual training service where folks can meet one-on-one with a private dog trainer, all from the comfort of your home. Right now, you can take advantage of a free 7-day trial and first video session.
Ultimately, Petting Bliss loves using Rover for our own dogs and is sure you (and your pet) will also!
